The pace of the tour gradually slowed down and today was the long awaited 'spa day' at the hot springs! It was also the second opportunity for a shower which was very exciting.
Waking up to this. Incredible.
Sticking my hand and camera out the window!
And again as we drove through fog.
The Tsenkher Hot Springs are becoming a major tourist destination as evidence by the 5 massive ger camps. It felt quite jarring to see so many people and to be in such a commercialised place. There were the springs, massages, bars and restaurants!
Variety! This was probably one of my favourite meals; it was a tuna salad with rice.
It had recently rained and the ground was ultra muddy. There were also quite a few planks of wood to cross the stream like this one.
It was a very relaxing day and I spent most of it in the hot spring with the other tour members and reading my books on my Kindle. The shower wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be since the water was the water from the springs ergo it had that distinctive smell.
This was my ninth trip as part of #take12trips. To see previous trips please click here.
